Veterans Day 2012: What's Open, Closed on Veterans Day in Melrose

Today we observe Veterans Day, a national holiday established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military. However, with the holiday falling on a Sunday government offices and some Melrose businesses will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12. - Melrose City Hall (state and federal offices also closed)
- Melrose Public Library
- Melrose Post Office
- Most banks will be closed to observe the holiday.

- Convenience Stores
- Liquor stores
- Retail stores
- MBTA is operating on a regular weekday schedule. THE RIDE Service will operate on a Sunday schedule.
