On Saturday, October 26th the Melrose Family YMCA will hold the 5K Spooky Sprint to benefit the 2013 Growing Stronger Together Campaign. The race, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, will start next to the Y on East Foster Street loop down by Pine Banks and finish at the Y.
Registration for the 5K Spooky Sprint before October 17th is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 16 years old. Registration after October 17th is $25 for adults and $15 for children under 16 years old. Those registered before October 17th will receive a long sleeved T-shirt and all participants will enjoy post-race refreshments and a Halloween Bash for the entire family from 9:30am to 11:30am. Prizes will be awarded for age groups and the top 3 best costumes.
Proceeds from the road race will benefit the Growing Stronger Together Campaign which provides opportunities for children, adults and families that need financial assistance to participate in YMCA programs. All of the money raised stays within the Melrose Community.
