5 Things: Frigid Temperatures, Ab Fab Open Mic & More

Here are five things to know for Thursday, Jan. 3: 

1. Frigid temperatures: While it's expected to be sunny on Thursday, temperatures will peak around 24 but the wind will make it feel like it's -5, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Melrose. In the evening, temperatures will drop slightly to a low of about 18.

2. Open mic night at Ab Fab: Sign-up starts at 7 p.m. Thursday and music kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Absolutely Fabulous in Melrose.

3. Curb the cravings: Overeaters Anonymous is slated to meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St., Stoneham.
