1. Strong winds: Showers and temperatures reaching a high near 49 are expected during the day Thursday, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Melrose. At night, it will be partly cloudy, with temperatures dipping to a low near 25. Winds are expected to be 23 to 33 miles per hour (mph) during the day, and 18 to 24 mph in the evening.
2. Energy Commission meeting: The Melrose Energy Commission meets at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at City Hall in the Mayor's Conference Room, according to the city website.
