Fourth of July Fireworks Displays and Events
A round up of activities this week in and around Melrose.
Have plans yet for Independence Day next weekend? If not, there are plenty of activities in Melrose and in surrounding communities.
The Melrose Recreation Department will hold the annual bike and carriage parade at the Common the morning of Sunday, July 4. Later that evening, the Mount Hood Park Association will hold its annual concert at Mount Hood Memorial Park.

- Wakefield will hold a parade beginning at 3 p.m.
- Danvers will have concert and tribute to those serving in the Armed Forces before a fireworks display at Plains Park at Holten Richmond Middle School on Saturday, July 3. On Sunday, there will be a Horribles parade and a Back Bay parade later in the morning.
- Salem will open festivities on Sunday with a reading of the Declaration of Independence on Salem Common, and in the evening feature an orchestral concert before a fireworks display.
- Beverly Farms will hold a Horribles parade on Sunday morning and, beginning at 2 p.m., festivites at West Beach, including races, games and music, before a fireworks display.
- Lynn's Fourth of July festivities begin on Saturday, July 3 at 7 p.m. with a concert featuring Lois Lane and the Daily Planets at Red Rock Park, followed by a fireworks display.
