Freecycle Tuesdays: Five Free Deals in Melrose [Oct. 11]

The Freecycle philosophy is simple: Offer something to others that you no longer need; take something off of someone's hands—all for free. It's like a yard sale fell in love with recycling, got married and had a baby named Freecycle.

Here is just a sampling of some of the deals we found offered this week. Note: Offers change all the time or are taken quickly.

1) Two calligraphy pens: "These are the kind you dip in ink. (Ink not included.)" Offered by "annekkeenan."

2) Dresser: "Brown solid wood dresser. 74'' length, 31" height, 21" depth, nine drawers, two mirrors which attach on the back." Offered by "njjohnnj2001."

3) Bag of size 10 boys' shirts: "Bag of boys' shirts, mostly long-sleeved, mostly in decent condition but there may be some stains. All size 10 or 10-12." Offered by "betseyb71."

4) Light fleece snowsuit 12 months: "This is a Talbot's size 12 month fleece hooded snowsuit and hat. It is a dark pink with navy trim. Fleece material. Feet and hands can be covered or uncovered." Offered by "flats 191."

5) Fences and Gates book: "A Sunset "how-to" book on design ideas, building techniques and upkeep & repair. A little dated but in excellent condition with plentiful colorful pictures and step by step instructions on building your own fence and gate." Offered by "Ellen."
