Grab and Go Kids Planner: Fun with Animals

Take your kids to listen to music, see students perform "Aladdin," pet animals at the zoo, sing and learn about and touch sea creatures.

Where/When: Memorial Hall, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Building, 590 Main St., Melrose/ Friday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. 

Why go? Roman Music Therapy will provide the entertainment at this month's meeting of the Melrose Kids Club for pre-school aged children and their parents.

Where/When: Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, 350 Lynn Fells Parkway, Melrose/ Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

Why go? See more than 70 students from the middle school perform the Disney classic. 

Cost: $10 for adults; $5 for students and seniors. 

Where/When: Stone Zoo, 149 Pond St., Stoneham/ Friday, Nov. 14, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. 

Why go? Head to the zoo to hear stories, see animals, do crafts and play outside when the weather permits it. 

Cost: $24 for members; $30 for non-members. Registration is required. 

Where/When: Somerville Public Library, West Branch, 40 College Ave., Somerville/ 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. 

Why go? Sing and make rhymes with your baby at this lively and well-attended educational program.

Where/When: Malden Public Library, 36 Salem St., Malden/ Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. 

Why go? The New England Aquarium will give three, hour-long sessions that will teach children aged 5 to 10 about sea stars, hermit crabs and other underwater creatures.
