Nearly 100 National Grid customers in Melrose are reportedly without power, according to a Nation Grid map.
As of 12:32 p.m. Tuesday, 815 National Grid customers in Melrose were reportedly without power, according to the National Grid website. However, a recent update on the site says 98 customers are currently without power.
The site says the company is still "assessing condition" and no estimated time has been provided for restoration.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a reader claimed that there was "No power here on Cumner (Avenue) and all the way over on Laurel. Transformer blew up around the corner."
Beech Avenue is reportedly without power, according to reader Chad H. Shortly before 2:30 p.m., he reported the power had been restored.
According to the National Grid map, the majority of the power outages appear to be in the Mt. Hood Memorial Park region.
