Neighborhood Night Out Dates Scheduled

Free event features games and activities provided by the Melrose Recreation Department.

The Melrose Recreation Department has set dates for three free, casual neighborhood get-togethers in city parks this summer.

Last year, jumping off from the National Night Out event that the city first celebrated in 2007, the city held six Neighborhood Nights Out. This summer the city will hold three:

  • Thursday, July 15: Foss Park
  • Thursday, July 22: Gooch Park
  • Thursday, Aug. 12: Hesseltine Park

All three events run from 6-8 p.m. Residents are invited to attend, meet their neighbors, get some free slush and be apart of the free games and activities provided by the Melrose Recreation Department.

Mayor Rob Dolan will also hold a community-wide Night Out at Pine Banks Park in August on a to-be-determined date.
