  • : MALDEN—A car crashed into a house at the intersection of Route 60 (Eastern Avenue) and Bellvale Street in Malden Friday night. The accident happened at approximately 7:50 p.m., according to Lt. David Chalmers of the Malden Police Department. A "car went right into a house," he said. "It did go right into the building."
  • : MEDFORD/SOMERVILLE—It's going to take at least a few more years than anticipated to complete the Green Line Extension Project, the Department of Transportation announced Monday. Following a four-month-long cost and schedule analysis, the Green Line Extension project team decided the completion of the project, previously projected for October 2015, will take until fall of 2018 at the soonest or summer 2020 at the latest, according to a press release from the Department of Transportation.
  • : WINCHESTER—Rodeo Mexican Grille expects to open later this week in the former Pastazza location at 20 Swanton St. The new restaurant’s focus will be on creating entrees that go beyond tacos and burritos. "We're trying to be very authentic," said Juan Mesa, who owns Rodeo Mexican Grille with his brother, also the owner of the East Boston restaurant Mi Rancho.
  • : WAKEFIELD—A Wakefield man was arrested on July 29 for allegedly distributing marijuana in a car while it was traveling in the upper common area of town.
