  • MEDFORD—The bus shelter outside Medford Senior Center had its interior walls decorated with posters that look like an abandoned home Thursday, and a mock foreclosure sign was put in front. It was one of 13 shelters in the Boston area to be decorated in an effort to bring attention to the impact foreclosures are having on local neighborhoods, according to a press release from Mass Uniting, an activist group that aims to fight for corporate accountability.
  • A Stoneham man was arraigned Monday in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn on charges alleging that he set his girlfriend on fire this summer, according to a press statement issued by Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone's Office Tuesday.
  • - Police are searching for a man who robbed the East Savings Bank on Main Street in Wakefield Thursday afternoon, according to Wakefield Police. The man entered the bank around 3 p.m., and passed a bank teller a note demanding money. The man's note said he had a weapon, although no weapon was shown at the time of the incident, according to police. The suspect fled the business and left driving down Albion Street in a car described by witnesses as a black Honda. The suspect was described as 6'3", wearing a baseball cap, jeans, and sneakers.
  • : The Reading Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mobil Mart located at the corner of Main Street and Summer Avenue on . The suspect used a hypodermic needle to commit the robbery and got away with $260.
