POLL: Fine T Seat Hogs?
Should the MBTA punish people who take up too much space? Let us know what you think by taking our poll.
MBTA riders would like transit police to fine people who stretch out too far in a crowded T car or set their backpack in the next seat to avoid sitting beside someone else, according to a report by the Boston Herald.
Police in other cities, like New York, fine passengers who take up more than one seat in buses and trains $50, the Herald reported, but Boston's transit authority hasn't made that a top priority.
So with that news in mind, Melrose Patch wants to know whether or not you think that the MBTA should punish people who take up more space than they need.
