Snow Saturday Night and Sunday Morning Likely Totaling 3-6 Inches

Rain expected on Monday.

It sounds like even the National Weather Service is all set with any more snow.

The NWS issued on Saturday morning a winter weather advisory that cautioned "snow once again headed for southern New England;" the advisory in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday night through 10 a.m. on Sunday.

This latest bout of snow is expected to drop 3-6 inches of fluffy snow on Melrose and the surrounding area starting Saturday night between 9 p.m. and midnight, when the low temperature sould be around 25 degrees. The snow should move out of the area between 9 a.m. and noon on Sunday, when high temperatures should hover around 37 degrees.

Monday will bring warmer weather with a high near 47 and more precipitation, according to the NWS forecast. Rain, freezing rain and sleet is likely before 9 a.m. on Monday before turning over to all rain.
