Schools

While Melrose's elementary schools had SMART Board interactive whiteboards installed in each classroom over the summer, the Franklin Early Childhood Center (ECC)  according to ECC Director Jenny Corduck. 

 from retiring Principal Joe Dillon, and he's had a busy summer so far—mainly from everyone wanting to meet him.

Like Melrose High School, the , Mary Alise Herrera, who replaces the departing Bryna Davis.

Police and Fire

Melrose residents reported feeling that struck on Tuesday afternoon, although shaking was minimal in the city and there were no reports of any damage.

A 43-year-old Melrose man has been summonsed to court on an assault charge after another driver alleged that the man blocked his car in with his own car, and then got out  at the Swains Pond Avenue and Dexter Road intersection.

Physician at Melrose Medical Center on Rowe Street reports he was contacted by pharmacy in Medford to verify a prescription attributed to him, 

Business

Monday night the Melrose Planning Board . The four-story, 16-unit building will likely begin construction next spring.

The Neighborhood Files
