The Week Ahead: Seniors' Valentine's Tea, Pneumonia Vaccine Clinic and More

  • When/Where: Milano Senior Center, Monday from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • For Who: Melrose seniors.
  • Why Go: EPOCH staff will prepare and serve petit fours, a small confection, and tea. Attendees are invited to bring a memento of a current or past love to share with others at your table. Reservations required.
  • When/Where: Melrose Public Library, Tuesday at 10:15 a.m.
  • For Who: Children ages 0-18 months and their parents.
  • Why Go: An interactive music program with Meredith Pizzi, MT-BC, for parents and their children. No registration required, just drop in.

  • When/Where: The Beebe Estate, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
  • For Who: Registered Democrats in all wards of Melrose.
  • Why Go: Democrats will hold caucuses to elect delegates and alternates to the 2011 Massachusetts Democratic Convention, where Democrats from across Massachusetts will gather to adopt a new Action Agenda and amend the Party Charter.
  • When/Where: Wakefield Town Hall, Thursday from 5-7 p.m. (Next week in Melrose.
  • For Who: All people over 65 years old and people 19-64 with chronic medical conditions receive a single vaccination; also, smokers and people with asthma.
  • Why Go: Guard yourself against pneumonia for the cost of $10, or free with Medicare Part B.
  • When/Where: Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church, Saturday from 7-10 p.m.
  • For Who: Music lovers and dancers of all ages and abilities.
  • Why Go: Live music, easy to learn dances, and refreshments.
