Thursday is National Coming Out Day 2012

Here are five things to know for Thursday, Oct. 11:

1. Spreading the message: Did you know that Thursday is National Coming Out Day? You can find out all about the Human Rights Campaign's work for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equal rights on their website.

2. Sun returns: Melrose will be sunny with highs in the upper 50s during the day Thursday, with lows in the mid-40s in the evening. 

3. Open mic night at Ab Fab: Sign-up starts at 7 p.m. Thursday and music starts at 7:30 p.m.

4. Veggies anyone? The Melrose Sally Frank's Farmers' Market is open Thursday from 1-7 p.m.
