What is Open, Closed During the Blizzard in Melrose

You asked us what places would be open and closed during the blizzard in Melrose, so we have compiled a list.

Melrose Patch received questions about what places would be open and closed during the blizzard. Here is a sampling of places that will be open and closed in the city during the blizzard:

Open

  • Police Station in City Hall will be open throughout the blizzard.
  • Municipal buildings, including Memorial Hall, Milano Senior Center and Melrose Public Library, will close at noon on Friday until 7 a.m. Monday.
  • All MBTA services will be suspended at 3 p.m. Friday. 
  • Dogwood Cottage will be accepting walk-ins from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday; transportation service is closed.
  • YMCA's Childcare facilities in Melrose and Stoneham will be open from 6:30 a.m. to noon Friday. All morning classes are on a regular schedule, but any classes schedule for noon or later will be canceled.
  • Tootsie's will be open until noon Friday; however, it will be closed on Saturday.
