A Celtic Christmas

Polymnia Choral Society Presents “A Celtic Christmas”


It’s “A Celtic Christmas” for Polymnia Choral Society’s opening concert, Saturday, Dec. 1, 7:30 pm at St. Mary’s Church, 46 Myrtle Street, Melrose.  Under the baton of Murray Kidd, the concert will feature A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten and Celtic arrangements of seasonal favorites.


 “This will be a show that everyone will enjoy.  We will have a harp, flute, fiddle and bodhrán (Celtic drum).  Also, guest soloists Brendan Carroll, Eileen Christiansen and Adriana Repetto will round out the night!” said Kidd.

 Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and $5 for children 12 and under.  They can be purchased at www.polymnia.org or at Sweet Thoughts, 504 Main St., Melrose or Miter Biter Frame Co, 479 Main Street, Melrose.  This concert is supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council, a local agency funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
