Murray Kidd, tenor, sings "Die Schöne Műllerin" of Franz Schubert

The Beethoven Society of Melrose presents Murray Kidd, tenor, singing the complete song cycle Die Schöne Műllerin of Franz Schubert, accompanied by pianist, John Ferguson. Reception follows the concert. Murray Kidd, tenor, has been a singer and educator in the Boston area for the past 20 years. Mr. Kidd's private voice students have performed in venues throughout New England as well as in top music schools throughout the US. He is the founder of New England Conservatory's Song Recital Series, now in its 8th year. He is the conductor of the Polymnia Society in Melrose, MA. As a performer, Murray Kidd has performed extensively with Handel and Haydn Society. He has also appeared with Boston Baroque, Opera Boston, Chorus Pro Musica, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, and the Boston Pops. John Ferguson is a multi-faceted pianist and composer whose unique programs reflect his diversity as a musician. The Boston Globe praised his “proselytizing zeal—along with fleet fingers, power, and fine dynamic control.”
