October 6th, 10 AM to 4:30 PM

Are
you an outdoor enthusiast?  Do you believe everyone should have the
opportunity to experience the natural world? If so, Eagle Eye Institute would
like to invite you to join their 11th annual Hike-A-Thon and help solicit
donations to allow Eagle Eye to continue to provide after-school and summer
learning, stewardship, and leadership programs for youth in Somerville,
Medford, Cambridge, and in Boston’s Chinatown.

The
Hike-A-Thon, in partnership with the Friends of the Fells, will meet at in the
Botume House parking lot 4 Woodland Road, Stoneham, at 10am for registration
and brief welcoming remarks prior to hiking south along Spot Pond across
Woodland Rd to the Fells Reservoir. We will enjoy a lunch compliments of Basil
Tree Gourmet Catering of Cambridge before heading back. A shorter 2 mile hike
is also being planned starting from the Flynn Rink Parking lot; please email nature@eagleeyei.org for more
information or to register.



If you can’t come out and hike, please make a donation
to the event or sponsor a specific hiker.  This is Eagle Eye’s main
fundraising event, with this year’s goal set at $20,000.  Thanks to two
anonymous donors every dollar up to $10,000 will be matched!  
 Donations can be made by visiting eagleeyeinstitute.org
and clicking “Donate Now!” or mailing a check made out to Eagle Eye Institute
to PO Box 440481 Somerville MA 02144.
