The splendor of the
Middlesex Fells Reservation is on display during Fells Arts Month

In any season, the Middlesex Fells is a place of
solace, reflection and inspiration. During this year’s Fells Arts Month artists

the Beebe Estate, 235 West Foster Street, Melrose.

In addition to the art, a 1935 map of the Fells,
including roads, paths and trails is featured . Also for this year, we will be
offering art program entitled Parents and Children making art together.
Using natural materials, participants will construct objects of art.  The
free program is limited to 8 children per class. For ages 3-5 and 6 – 9. To

Owned by the city of Melrose and operated by the Beebe
Board of Trustees, the Beebe Estate is the finest Greek Revival-style mansion
in Melrose. Its elegant cupola and elaborate balustrade have graced West Foster
Street for more than one hundred and seventy years. The Beebe Estate serves both
as a cultural center for the City of Melrose where local artists can display
their work and as a restored historic home available for rental to private
parties and organizations.  It is located at 235 West Foster St, Melrose.

For over 25 years,  the Friends of the Middlesex
Fells Reservation  has worked tirelessly  for the protection and
harmonious use of the Fells, by  promoting awareness, policies and
programs which honor and preserve the landscape and heritage of this public
resource for current and future generations. Throughout the year, the Friends
offer guided hikes, public programs and its very popular Babes in the Woods
program which introduces very young children to the wonders of the Fells.
