Melrose K of C Free Throw Championship

Are you ready to take your best shot for Melrose bragging rights?

All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of the national Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Melrose YMCA, 497 Main Street. There is no charge to enter.

Entry forms will be available at the door. Participants are required to provide proof of age and a parent or guardian must sign the entry form.

Based on the youth's age as of Jan. 1, participants will compete against others of the same age and gender. All participants will be recognized with a certificate. Competitors will take 15 free throws and the boy and girl from each age group who makes the most will receive an award as Melrose champion. The champs will have the opportunity to advance to the district, regional and state championships.
