Northeast School of Ballet Announces Summer Programs

Discover the joy of dance this summer at NSB!

Northeast School of Ballet (NSB) will offer dance
programs for all ages this summer during the months of July and August.

NSB, under the artistic direction of Denise Cecere, is a
ballet school that is recognized for training hundreds of dancers over the past
43 years in the Greater Boston area. All summer programs will be held at NSB’s
studios, conveniently located in historic downtown Reading, Massachusetts, at
32 Lowell Street, RT 129. Students will take classes in beautifully renovated
studios that feature sprung floors, high ceilings, and air-conditioned studios.
The Church, constructed in 1913, is a registered historical building with
Neo-Gothic architecture, including European inspired carved wood work,
beautiful stained glass windows, and a traditional arched cathedral sanctuary.
NSB, a nonprofit arts organization, is dedicated to creating an environment to
educate and inspire the next generation of artists to reach their full
potential.

Our 4-week Intensive Summer Program (by audition only) is
designed for career oriented students ages 10-21 who want to improve their
skills, gain strength and broaden their knowledge of classical ballet and other
forms of dance in a rich intensive classroom experience. At the culmination of
the intensive program, NSB gives students an opportunity to demonstrate the
various forms of choreography learned throughout the program to their family,
friends and audience members.

NSB Young Dancers Program: July 14th-25th

Our 2-week young dancers program is designed for the
beginner ballet students ages 8-12 who want to develop their technique, have a
better understanding of terminology, pick up classroom combinations and
choreography, and improve on their musicality both in their classical ballet
training and other forms of dance. At the culmination of the program, NSB gives

Favorite Fairytales

Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet Programs:

Week 1: July 14th-18th/Week 2: July 21th-25th

Our one-week creative movement and pre-ballet programs are
designed to develop a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
The programs, Favorite Fairytales I and II, will enrich your child in the art
of storytelling through dance and imagination. Children develop performance
skills as they become part of the story with movement, watching the ballet,
learning choreography, prop making and much more. The program will help young
students prepare for formal ballet classes while encouraging creativity,
self-expression, and fundamental movement skills in an entertaining, fun and
nurturing environment.
