The Pajama Game is a fast paced Broadway favorite that centers
on life at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory where things are anything but peaceful.
Watch what happens as sparks fly between Sleep-Tite’s new superintendent, Sid
Sorokin, and Babe Williams, leader of the union’s grievance committee. Their
stormy relationship comes to a head when the pajama factory workers strike for
a seven and a half cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between
management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well. Bright and brassy,
this unconventional and fast-paced Broadway favorite boasts an energetic score
by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and is brimming with songs which have become
popular musical theater standards such as "Hey There," "Steam
Heat" and "Hernando's Hideaway.” Featuring splashy dance numbers and
great vocal performances, it's hard to beat “The Pajama Game!” Bring the whole
family to see this five-time Tony Award winning musical, produced right here in
Melrose!
