Violinist Egle Jarkova featured by Beethoven Society of Melrose
The Beethoven Society of Melrose, in its 87th Season, presents Ms. Jarkova, accompanied by Rui Urayama at the piano, in a full program of show-stoppers and intricate compositions by Bach, Paganini, Tchaikovsky, Bloch and Wieniawski. Partial funding for this concert was made possible by a grant from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts. Free will offering at the door benefits our Music Award Fund for students. Refreshments follow the program. Egle Jarkova is is a top prizewinner of several national and international competitions in Europe and United States of America, and holds the title of the Queen Morta Premium Laureate as well as honors awards from the Boston Conservatory. Ms. Jarkova studied at the National M.K.Ciurlionis School of Arts in Lithuania; she received International Baccalaureate Diploma from United World College of the Adriatic in Italy and Diploma in chamber music from "Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste”. Ms. Jarkova toured to Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, and other countries and performed solo and chamber music in different venues. She debuted with the Albanian National TV and Radio Orchestra playing Brahms Violin Concerto, and Balsys Violin Concerto in Carnegie Hall. Ms. Jarkova is a member of the Jemur Piano Trio and Duo Aelia, and founder and artistic director of the International Summer Music Festival "Vivace Vilnius". She is a student of Mr. Lynn Chang at The Boston Conservatory.
