AUCTION for ACTION

The Mystic River Rugby Club Singles Auction will put the area’s most eligible bachelors and hottest bachelorettes on the auction block and sell them to the highest bidder to benefit The Women’s Lunch Place, an organization dedicated to providing homeless women and their children with housing, nutrition and support. WAAF’s Hillman Morning Show co-host and former Boston Bruin Lyndon “LB” Byers will host the evening’s festivities.

The evening will also include a silent auction and raffle, and the first hundred guests to walk through the door will be entered into a VIP raffle for one outstanding mystery grand prize.

About The Women’s Lunch Place:

The Women’s Lunch Place (WLP) was the brainchild of Jane Alexander and Eileen Reilly, two visionaries with an interminable sense of resolve. The met in the 1980’s while volunteering at the Pine Street Inn, an overnight shelter for men and women in Boston. Distraught by the overwhelming needs of the women they encountered, they dreamed of creating a place to offer these and other women with nutritious, home-cooked meals and a place to call home during the day. WLP currently provides services to more than 150 women and their children each day.
