Melrose Hosts Veterans in the Classroom Program

The City of Melrose recently held a Veterans in the Classroom program as part of their slate of activities in honor of Veterans Day.

Melrose recently held a slate of activities in honor of Veterans Day, including a Veterans in the Classroom program.

The Veterans in the Classroom program, which took place at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4 in the GAR Room at Memorial Hall, allowed Melrose students to visit with veterans to listen to their stories and service to the country.

The program was coordinated by Melrose High School teacher Lisa Lord. She also has put together a website that tells the story of local veterans called the Melrose Veterans Memory Project, according to an email from Mayor Rob Dolan's office.
