4th Annual Healthy Melrose Family Wellness and Fitness Fair

It’s almost here…. The 4th Annual Healthy Melrose Family Wellness and Fitness Fair is only hours away… and the City awaits it’s arrival like a child awaits Santa Clauses’… with so much excitement and anticipation it’s nearly impossible to think of anything else!

The Healthy Melrose Family Wellness and Fitness Fair will truly be a “must attend” event!  It’s the 4th consecutive year for the Fair, which is co-sponsored by the City of Melrose and Hallmark Health and it was originally organized as a way to promote a more healthy way of living throughout the Melrose community. It has
now grown to become THE PLACE where Melrosians and surrounding communities come to get up-close and personal with the many health and wellness professionals who each year make up the Fair’s vendors. There will be over 50 vendors from Melrose and surrounding towns to provide you with expert information on improving your family’s health and wellness. While you are gathering all of this great information, you can snack on many of the delicious healthy, organic and natural food samples and give-away items provided to you from some truly amazing organizations whose collective mission is to provide people with healthier food options and to show them that good food can and does taste good!

The Fair takes place at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. You will want to get there early and stay to the end… there’s so much to see and do! We kick it off at 10:00 AM with what could be history in the making… the largest ever in Massachusetts outdoor Spinning ® event; Ride for Health! Master Instructors from  Mad Dogg Athletics, the creators of the Spinning ® program, will lead 100 riders in the record breaking ride.  This event is sold-out but the spectacle of the event will be amazing to witness!  Kidz Fun begins at 10:30 with all sorts of fun activities for kids. The Ride for Health ends just in time for us to send our kids out of the starting blocks in our Kids ¼ Mile Run which will begin at 11:30 AM. Want more of a challenge? Lace up your shoes for our 3rd Annual Healthy Melrose 5K which begins at 12 noon.  You will finish this great race just in time to grab some healthy snacks from the Fair and listen to pop singers Nicholas Tetreault and Justin Dearborn perform LIVE in the Middle School Courtyard at 1 PM. The Fair ends at 2 PM so you’ll have ample time to explore all that our great vendors have to offer.
