'Women for Katherine' to Support Senator Clark's Campaign for Congress

After outraising the entire field in the potential race to replace Congressman Ed Markey, State Sen. Katherine Clark today unveiled Women for Katherine.

After outraising the entire field in the potential race to replace Congressman Ed Markey, State Sen. Katherine Clark unveiled on Thursday Women for Katherine which includes community leaders, elected officials and activists who have pledged their support to Katherine's campaign. Katherine is ready to take her lifetime of service to Congress to work for progressive, common sense solutions for the families of the 5th District.

Below is the email that was sent out today by Barbara Lee, a national leader in advancing women's equality in American politics, who has endorsed Katherine’s campaign for Congress:

Dear Friend,

I’m proud to announce Women for Katherine, a growing group of women committed to supporting Katherine Clark's campaign for Congress. Will you lend your name to our ranks?

On important issues like reproductive health, early childhood education, equal pay, gun safety, paid sick leave, and keeping our promises to seniors, women must have a voice. Katherine will be that voice for us in Congress.

By joining Women for Katherine you will help us continue to build the momentum we need to win this race. Your support will help ensure that Katherine’s strong voice for women, and the men who care about them, is elevated in Congress.

Katherine Clark has that potent combination of qualification and likeability. She is smart, strong, and effective. Katherine has delivered common sense solutions to the everyday issues affecting her community as a state and local elected official, including job creation and public education. She will bring that same approach to Congress.

Throughout her career as a state legislator, prosecutor, General Counsel for the Office of Child Care Services, Assistant Attorney General, and School Committee member, Katherine has worked to find real solutions to the issues affecting women and our families.

I hope you’ll add your name to the list of women across the Fifth District who share Katherine’s progressive values and support her in this campaign. Please consider inviting your friends to do the same by forwarding this email to them.

Warmly,

Barbara Lee
