Katherine Clark debuts third television ad in campaign for Congress

MALDEN – Strengthening middle-class families is the focus of State Senator Katherine Clark’s newest television ad. In the ad, Katherine discusses her priority of going to Congress to stand up to Republican extremists paying "lip service to family values" instead of focusing on the issues that can actually help middle-class families.

"When women get shortchanged at work, when we're not allowed to make decisions about our own bodies, when we can't afford to send our kids to college and our parents can't count on Social Security, it hurts everyone," Clark states in the ad.

The 30-second advertisement features Katherine's mother Judy, husband Rodney, and their three boys, Addison, Jared and Nathaniel.
"These are our three sons," Clark narrates. "They'll do better in an America where everyone does better."

Extremist Republicans in Congress have voted repeatedly to restrict reproductive rights, made multiple attempts to strip funding from Planned Parenthood, blocked the Paycheck Fairness Act, and have shut down the government in order to deny millions of Americans affordable health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

In Washington, Katherine will focus on the issues that will make progress for families and strengthen communities: securing pay equity, investing in early education, increasing the minimum wage and reducing gun violence in our communities.
