The Massachusetts Nurses Association endorses Katherine Clark for Congress

The Massachusetts Nurses Association, the state’s largest professional health care organization, endorsed Democratic Nominee Katherine Clark in her campaign for Congress. The Massachusetts Nurses Association, representing 23,000 members, supports Katherine because of her commitment to take on extremist Republicans in Congress attacking women’s rights and stand up for working families.

"The Massachusetts Nurses Association is excited to endorse State Senator Katherine Clark for Congress," said Massachusetts Nurses Association President Donna Kelly-Williams. "Senator Clark has been a strong supporter of frontline nurses in Massachusetts and the issues most important to them, including safe RN-to-patient staffing limits, safer working conditions for nurses and access to affordable, quality healthcare."

Katherine believes that every American deserves access to quality care that keeps families healthy without breaking budgets. Middle class families shouldn't have to worry about medical problems leading to job losses, bankruptcies or skyrocketing medical bills. Katherine will go to Washington to take on extremist Republicans who continue to block common sense solutions that can move Obamacare forward and strengthen our healthcare system.

"It's an honor to receive the endorsement of the Massachusetts Nurses Association," Clark said. "Nurses are on the front lines of healthcare in our country. They are the backbone of our healthcare system and each day provide caring, compassionate support at a time when people need it most. I'm grateful for their support."
