Puggle found on Lebanon Street! Do you know this dog?

Do you know this adorable, intact (non-neutered) male puggle?  He was found on Lebanon St. in Melrose, MA. He is currently at the VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital. If you recognize this dog or know his owner, please contact Melrose Animal Control at 781-979-4102! His photo has been posted on the Granite State Dog Recovery Facebook page, as well as the Melrose Dog Society Facebook page.

Please help us help him find his way back home!

Thank you!

Someone over on Granite State mentioned he looked like a dog named Rusty from the Lebanon St area. Now that I think of it, I vaguely remember meeting a non-neutered puggle down at the park and talking with his owner because I intially thought he was Roxy, a female puggle we see often and who has the same greyish muzzle. Rusty ring any bells anyone?

There was a woman who lives on upper Main street, between East Wyoming and Potomac who had a Puggle she walked and jogged with a lot but I have not seen her in some time. I am sure it is not hers, because she seemed very devoted to it and would be seeking it if lost, but Iif anyone knows her I thought maybe she would know of any Puggle clubs, or fellow Puggle owners?

Thanks Joshua! We posted on some Puggle message board groups in the past few days and have checked in with some of the puggle owners who use the park - so the word is out in the "puggle community." Also have been checking the various missing/found dog sites and facebook pages...we'll be sure to update if we find out anything!

If his owner does not come forward I also suggest you PRONE as they also help Puggles find homes, not just for Pugs.

Thanks Joshua. One of the MDS volunteers also volunteers with PRoNE. Looks like the Animal Control Officer has a plan and rescue already lined up - will post more details once they are finalized!
