Please join us from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Roosevelt Elementary School for a neighborhood public safety meeting for residents of Wards 1 and 2.

The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss public safety concerns throughout the city, but primarily with a focus on those issues specific to Wards 1 and 2.

This session will be co-hosted by Mayor Rob Dolan, Melrose Police Chief Mike Lyle, Ward 1 Alderman John Tramontozzi and myself.

We will hear from Chief Lyle and representatives from the Police Department who will update us on department initiatives, but this is also an opportunity for you to express your concerns and ask questions relative to these issues. This could be anything from traffic issues (think speeding and crosswalks) to break-ins or efforts to reduce drug use.

Bring your questions, gripes and suggestions. We want to hear from you!
