Everett Man Accused of Assault in Melrose
At 8:07 a.m. Jan. 19, Melrose Police responded to Town Line Inn at Newburyport Turnpike. Malden Police reported a disturbance which was called in to them. Danny Marckini, 24, of 59 Reed St. Apt. #1, Everett, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
Jan. 19
9:31 a.m.: Melrose Street at Vinton Street, caller reported a motor vehicle crash. A Verizon pole was struck. Verizon was notified and planned to schedule a safety check on the pole.
10:28 a.m.: Washington Street, caller requested an ambulance for a person who allegedly overdosed on prescription medication.
11:14 a.m.: A person visited the police station to report vandalism. A window was damaged by a possible BB gun pellet.
11:16 a.m.: Lake Avenue, report of a past breaking and entering. Items were reported missing.
5:35 p.m.: Police and fire responded to a two-alarm fire at 297 Bay State Road.
Jan. 18
12:43 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop in the area of Belmont and Franklin Streets. A 61-year-old Lynn man was summonsed on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
12:20 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report that they had lost their credit card and it had been fraudulently used in Melrose.
12:33 p.m.: West Wyoming Avenue, caller reported that a vehicle parked on the sidewalk is blocking the handicapped ramp. The vehicle was towed.
12:38 p.m.: Hesseltine Avenue at Glendale Avenue, caller told police that she saw a vehicle pull out of their driveway and struck a parked vehicle. She also witnessed the driver leave without notifying the owner. The caller claimed that the suspect lives in a white house at Glendale at Hesseltine. She described the suspect as a white man in his 30s to 40s with dark hair. Police were unable to contacted the man. The incident remains under investigation.
1:16 p.m.: Linden Road, police discovered an accident. An officer assisted the drivers with an insurance paperwork swap.
1:50 p.m.: Main Street at West Highland Avenue, caller stated that his wife was just in a motor vehicle accident. No tows, no injuries.
3:22 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report that their laptop was stolen from a vehicle.
