Everett Man Arrested on Two Charges in Melrose
At 10:51 p.m. Sept. 9, Melrose Police received a complaint of an erratic driver in the area of Green and Main Streets. The caller reported seeing a black Altima that went off the roadway. Samuel Barbosa, of 225 Belmont St., Everett, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Sept. 9
9:41 a.m.: West Highland Avenue at Ashland Street, report of a fox eating out of a curbside trash. The fox could not be located.
12:21 p.m.: An Essex Street man visited the police station to report identity fraud.
2:46 p.m.: A Mount Vernon Street resident visited the police station to report their Social Security number was being used.
4:32 p.m.: Boardman and Damon Avenues, report of a fox running around the area. The fox could not be located.
8:03 p.m.: Orris Street, report of a past breaking and entering.
10:40 p.m.: West Emerson Street near Garniss Market, report of motor vehicle vandalism. The caller reported that their vehicle had been spray painted.
Sept. 10
3:17 p.m.: Linwood Avenue, report of a past larceny. The caller reported a bicycle was stolen.
8 p.m.: Penney and Dexter Roads, report of a large snake, possibly a python, in the road heading back to wooded area. The snake was captured.
