Father Accused of Throwing Infant Onto Sidewalk Found Guilty

Melrose resident Carlos Edwards was convicted of three assault charges nearly a year after he threw his seven-week-old son onto a Cross St. sidewalk.

Carmello sustained a number of injuries, but underwent a rapid recovery last August after only six days in care. 

Edwards is scheduled to be sentenced this Friday, July 20.
