Melrose Teen Critically Injured in Maine Crash

Teens celebrating graduation in Maine suffer car accident, overdose.

Three Massachusetts teenagers were injured, one critically, on Sunday night after their car rolled over on Route 4 in Rangeley, Maine, according to The Franklin Sun Journal. The teens, joining some 20 others, rented a cottage in the area to celebrate their graduation from Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School.

The front-seat passenger, Janessa Gordon, 18, from Melrose, was critically injured and not wearing a seatbelt. The driver, Marilenis Waldron, of Saugus, lost control when she tried to pass another car, reported the Sun Journal.

Three passengers were in the back seat, and are expected to recover from minor injuries.
