MBTA Police Seeking Orange Line Assault Suspect

Man made racial and homophobic comments before assaulting two teenage women, police said.

MBTA Police are looking for a man who assaulted two teenage women in a possible hate crime on the Orange Line.

While the train was traveling between Malden Center and Sullivan Square on Nov. 19 at about 12:20 a.m., the suspect approached two women, ages 18 and 19, made homophobic and racial comments toward them, and then kicked them, according to transit police.

The suspect fled the scene. Police are seeking public help in identifying him. He is described as a white male in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with a heavy build. At the time of the assault he was wearing a black leather-jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a grey Kangol hat, police said.
