Melrose Man Accused of Assault and Battery
At 9:18 a.m. Oct. 19, Melrose Police responded to Linwood Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. Luke Pyles, 36, of 99 Linwood Ave., Melrose, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
Oct. 30
8:06 a.m.: Myrtle Street at West Foster Street, police conducted a motor vehicle stop. A 44-year-old Stoneham man was summonsed on charges of marked lanes violation, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and attaching number plates. The man's vehicle was towed from the scene.
10:25 a.m.: A Green Street resident visited the police station to report fraudulent use of a bank card.
1:20 p.m.: A Pleasant Street resident visited the police station to report identity fraud.
2:56 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway, report of an accident in front of Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School. State Police oversaw the scene, and two vehicles were towed.
4:52 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report that their iPhone was stolen while at the Melrose YMCA.
9:16 p.m.: West Wyoming Avenue, report of a stolen iPhone.
Oct. 29
9:55 a.m.: Whitwell Street, report of a person going door-to-door. Police spoke with the individuals.
6:48 p.m.: A man visited the police station to report a past breaking and entering attempt. An officer went to the residence to see the damage.
9:48 p.m.: Lake Avenue, 911 caller reported a man had allegedly overdosed on drugs. A 34-year-old Wakefield man was summonsed on a charge of possession of a class A drug.
Oct. 28
7:22 a.m.: Vinton Street at Lynn Fells Parkway, report of a three-car accident. State Police reportedly took over the scene.
8:40 a.m.: Crescent Avenue, caller reported having an issue with a contractor. A 35-year-old Saugus man was summonsed on a charge of larceny over $250.
9:36 a.m.: Main Street at Crystal Street, report of a minor accident.
3:41 p.m.: Main Street near Hunt's Photo, report of an accident.
7:43 p.m.: Melrose YMCA on Main Street, report of a theft.
10:12 p.m.: Main Street near Melrose YMCA, report of a possible hit-and-run accident.
