Melrose Man Accused of Trespassing

Melrose Man Accused of Trespassing
At 6:55 p.m. Aug. 23, Melrose police responded to the area of West Wyoming Avenue and Berwick Street for a report of suspicious activity. The caller reported seeing a man with a video camera and two mannequins on the railroad tracks. Darien Sanford, 24, of 9 Lodge Ave., Melrose, was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Aug. 22
11:22 a.m.: Melrose Housing Authority on Main Street, report of phone scam.

Aug. 23
10:46 a.m.: Gibbons Street, report of tires slashed.
11:09 a.m.: Myrtle Street, report of minor motor vehicle accident.
1:44 p.m.: Kora & Company Hair Design on Essex Street, report of motor vehicle accident. Two tows, two transported to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
5:08 p.m.: Rite Aid on Main Street, report of possible past hit-and-run accident. Minor damage to rear driver's side bumper. Paperwork exchanged.
Aug. 24
12:29 p.m.: Whole Foods on Main Street, report of a motor vehicle accident.
6:41 p.m.: Person visited police station to report tires slashed at Clifton Park.
Aug. 25
11:57 a.m.: West Wyoming Avenue and Pleasant Street, report of a disturbance. Caller claimed they heard a woman screaming, and then a black vehicle drove west toward Stoneham. Police could not find anyone in distress.
2:09 p.m.: Oak Grove Avenue, report of motor vehicle accident.
3:46 p.m.: Lebanon Street, report of outside fire. Fire was extinguished.
7:48 p.m.: Melrose Shell gas station on Main Street, report of a theft of $40 in gas.
