Melrose Man Allegedly Assaults a Motorist
At 10:06 p.m. Dec. 24, Melrose Police responded to West Wyoming Avenue following a report of an assault. A 21-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on a charge of assault and battery. The Melrosian allegedly punched another motorist in the face.
Dec. 23
7:04 a.m.: Main Street, caller claimed their vehicle was stolen from behind her apartment.
8:58 a.m.: Cherry Street, report of a BB shot through a window.
12:20 p.m.: Lebanon Street, report of suspicious activity. A 31-year-old Wells, Maine man was summonsed on a charge of indecent exposure.
1:09 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway at Green Street, report of a two-car accident.
2:34 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway at Lincoln Street, report of a three-vehicle accident. Fire Department and State Police responded. State Police handled.
Dec. 24
10:40 a.m.: First Street, caller reported that someone broke their window.
10:56 a.m.: Essex Street, report of possible vehicle vandalism. Vehicle reportedly stolen Dec. 23 and towed; owner notified.
12:42 p.m.: First and Larrabee Streets, report of road rage incident. Parties settled down. No arrests made.
11:19 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report an hit-and-run incident on Laurel Street.
Dec. 25
8:18 a.m.: Melrose Laundromat on Main Street, caller reported damage to a Melrose Laundromat van. A 58-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on a charge of malicious damage to a vehicle.
10:29 a.m.: A person visited the police station to report a past hit-and-run on Laurel Street.
1:18 p.m.: Hurd Street, report of a past breaking and entering.
