Melrose Man Arrested on a Warrant

At 4:12 p.m. Jan. 11, Melrose Police responded to Vine Street to serve a warrant. David Strout, 24, of 27 Vine St. Apt. 1, Melrose, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Jan. 12

9:24 a.m.: Cypress Park, report of vandalism. The caller reported that a fence was damaged.

9:49 a.m.: Harold Street, caller reported a phone scam.

12:51 p.m.: Main Street at West Wyoming Avenue, report of vandalism. The caller reported that there was damage to the pedestrian crossing button.

3:02 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report a larceny on Vinton Street. 

Jan. 11

9:05 a.m.: Dill's Court, report of a minor accident in the parking lot.

2:22 p.m.: West Wyoming Avenue, report of a burglary. The caller reported that items were taken from her home during renovations.

8:51 p.m.: Malden Police contacted Melrose Police about an armed robbery at a convenience store that had just happened on Lebanon Street in Malden. The suspect was seen wearing a hooded grey sweatshirt and pants and was running in the direction of Swains Pond Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
