Melrose Man Summonsed on Stalking, Other Charges

At 7:18 p.m. Sept. 4, Melrose Police responded to a report of threats. A 33-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on charges of violating an abuse prevention order, stalking in violation of restraining order and threatening to commit a crime.

Sept. 2

3:12 a.m.: North Mountain Avenue, report of noise ordinance violence. A 22-year-old Melrose man was summonsed on a charge of disturbing the peace after officers were called to the same home twice.

7:19 a.m.: West Wyoming Avenue, report of a motor vehicle accident.

9:22 a.m.: Wyoming Cemetery on Sylvan Street, report from a caller that her husband found a dead dog. The dog was located near the ball fields.

9:46 a.m.: Mann Residence on Ardsmoor Road, report of a breaking and entering. The home was not broken into; a raccoon got in.

6:56 p.m.: Skateboard Park on Tremont Street, report of a fire. The fire was extinguished.

Sept. 3

8:51 a.m.: Lebanon and East Foster Streets, report of a motor vehicle accident. DPW called to report one of their employees was involved in the crash.

2:42 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop near Elmhurst Nursing Home on Main Street. A 17-year-old Malden man was summonsed on charges of passing on the right and receiving stolen property over $250.

Sept. 4

2:21 a.m.: Tremont Street, report of a vehicle with an expired registration. The vehicle was towed.

9:53 a.m.: Police received a complaint about a damaged telephone pole; Verizon was notified.

2 p.m.: West Wyoming Avenue and Corey Street, report of a motor vehicle accident. 

4:24 p.m.: Melbourne Avenue, report of a past breaking and entering.

6:58 p.m.: Boston Rock Road, report of vandalism.

7:31 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report past damage to property on Fairmount Street.
