Malden Man Arrested on Several Warrants

At 6:02 p.m. April 21, Melrose Police were called to a West Wyoming Avenue apartment to conduct a follow-up investigation, according to a police log. Eduardo Carlos Souza, 19, of 250 Kennedy Dr. Apt. #604, Malden, was arrested on seven warrants, according to the log.

April 20

6:19 a.m.: Police called to the area of Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. State Police were on scene for report, according to the log.

12:19 p.m.: Police responded to Woodcrest Drive for a report of vandalism to plants, according to a police log. 

April 21

1:17 p.m.: Police called to the area of Main Street and Linden Road for a report of suspicious activity, according to a police log. The caller reported someone trying to sell them what they believed to be stolen property, according to the log. Matthew Powers, 27, of 23 Wedgemere Road, Medford, was arrested on four warrants, according to the log.

3:56 p.m.: Police responded to West Wyoming Avenue for a report of noxious fumes, according to a police log.

6:36 p.m.: A West Wyoming Avenue resident visited the police station to report threats, according to a police log. A report was taken.

10:14 p.m.: Police responded to Russell Street for a report of an odor of gas inside a structure, according to a police log.
