Friday, June 22

7:21 a.m. Vehicle window smashed on Bay State Road.

10:48 a.m. Report of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest in Friends Parking Lot. Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau said an officer assigned to the area recognized the man as wanted on a warrant and the man ran away. When the officer located him a short distance later and attempted to apprehend him again, he broke away from the officer before finally being caught. The a 23-year-old Melrose resident was issued a summons on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

6:50 a.m. Vehicle window smashed overnight on Bay State Road.

5:41 p.m. Vehicle stuck under Melrose Street bridge due to roadway flooding. Car towed from water.

Paul R. Quinn, 35, 44 Sherman St., Revere, was arrested on Tuesday, June 19 on the charge of violating an abuse prevention order, and two warrants.
