Monday, Nov. 21

1:50 p.m. on Franklin Street had employees report possible forged check. Bank contacted person named on the check, according to Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau, and the alleged victim met with Melrose detectives at the bank, verifying that the check was a fake because it did not have the watermark he has on his business checks. Shaquana Williams, 21, 35 Womback St., Apt. 5, Roxbury, and Tarawanda Workman, 37, 5 Tever St., Apt. 2ndF, Dorchester were each placed under arrest on charges of forgery of check and uttering a false check. DeCroteau said the investigation is ongoing into other possible forged checks amounting to tens of thousands of dollars.

3:30 p.m. Complaint of items taken from vehicle on Glen Street.

5:21 p.m. Report of past hit and run on Youle Street, someone struck parked truck.

8:43 p.m. Several 911 calls for two men fighting in the area of 121 Pleasant St. A 45-year-old Malden man and a 29-year-old Chestnut Hill man were each issued summonses on the charge of assault and battery.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

9:45 a.m. Domestic disturbance on Essex Street.  Officer reports verbal argument.

11:55 a.m. Motor vehicle stop at Porter Street and Orient Avenue. A 52-year-old Melrose man was issued a summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle, attaching plates and uninsured motor vehicle.

4:55 p.m. 911 call from 27 Glendale Ave., vehicle accident with injuries.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

7:13 a.m. Report of past break into Mount Vernon Street apartment.

5:36 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle accident on Main Street at Reading Hill Avenue. A 26-year-old Wakefield man was issued a summons on the charge of unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

9:03 p.m. Family dispute on Main Street.

10:59 p.m. Caller from Hopkins Street reports threats.

11:11 p.m. Manager of on Lynn Fells Parkway reports fight in store.

Thursday, Nov. 24

12:46 a.m. Detail officer reports fight at J.J. Grimsby’s in Stoneham; radio call was made on Melrose frequency. Melrose units dispatched and Stoneham Police called.

12:04 p.m. Report of a stolen vehicle from

7:14 p.m. Strong odor of gas at East Emerson Street and Lebanon Street. Low priority leak, Fire Department will notify National Grid.

7:46 p.m. Caller reports domestic disturbance on Otis Street. A 42-year-old Melrose man was issued a summons on charges of assault and battery (two counts).

Friday, Nov. 25

9:44 a.m. Report of threats at Starbucks on Main Street.

7:33 p.m. Walk-in report of disturbance on Stevens Place.

10:26 p.m. Complaint of kids in woods behind Beech Avenue.

Saturday, Nov. 26

12:27 p.m. Two car accident at Boardman Avenue and Main Street.

7:29 p.m. Caller reports animal struck by vehicle at on Tremont Street. Officer confirms gray cat is deceased.

8:54 p.m. Walk-in report from North Forest Street of possible harassment problem.

Sunday, Nov. 27

1:16 p.m. Wakefield Police called regarding vehicle accident on town line, looking for three boys that left the scene. Wakefield reports having boys in custody.
