Melrose Police Arrest a Saugus Man at House Party

At 10:38 p.m. March 2, Melrose Police responded to Bay State Road after receiving a complaint about a loud house party. Travis Person, 17, of 5 Warden St. Apt. 12, Saugus, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

March 1

2:29 a.m.: Police called to Banks Place for a report of a strange individual trying to get into apartments. A report was taken.

2:52 p.m.: A Melrose High School student reported that their headphones were stolen at school. A report was taken.

5:19 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report a larceny. A report was taken.

6:53 p.m.: Police responded to Lebanon Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. No tows or transports logged.

March 2

9:32 a.m.: Police called to Lebanon Street for a report of a possible drug overdose. A report was taken.

10:55 a.m.: Police called to Beech Avenue on a report of a past hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.

11:54 a.m.: Police received a call about a mattress blocking a sidewalk in the area of Berwick Street. DPW was notified to handle, according to police.

12:37 p.m.: Police called to Swains Pond Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle was towed, according to police. 

March 3

1:45 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Green and Howard Streets for a report of vandalism. A report was taken.

2:16 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Melrose Street and Lynn Fells Parkway. A 19-year-old Malden man was summonsed on charges of speeding in violation of special regulation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

9:36 a.m.: Police called to a Grove Street apartment for a report of a larceny. A report was taken.

10:20 a.m.: Police and Fire responded to Lynn Fells Parkway near Dunkin' Donuts on a report of a motor vehicle accident. State Police handled the scene, according to police.

5:12 p.m.: Police called to the Melrose Shell gas station on Main Street for a report of a larceny. A 22-year-old Medford man was summonsed on a charge of larceny over $250. A report was taken.

March 4

7:44 a.m.: Police responded to the Rite Aid parking lot for a report of suspicious activity. The caller claimed that teens were smoking marijuana behind the store, according to police. The teens were gone on arrival, according to police.
