Melrose Police Arrest Roxbury Man on Warrant

At 12:51 a.m. April 28, Melrose Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Penney Hill Road, according to a police log. Lonnie Clinton, 17, of 1 Leyland St. Apt. #3A, Roxbury, was arrested on a warrant, according to the log.

April 25

8:11 a.m.: Police received a report of a dead opossum in the middle of Pleasant Street, according to a police log. DPW was notified, according to the log.

April 26

10:16 a.m.: Police called to Washington Street for a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident with property damage, according to a police log. A report was taken.

12:24 p.m.: Police responded to West Emerson Street on a report of hypodermic needle found in the street, according to a police log. The needle was retrieved and disposed of properly, according to the log.

1:25 p.m.: Police called to Main Street near Ell Pond for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. A report was taken.

2:04 p.m.: Police responded to Melrose Highlands Congregational Church for a report of property damage, according to a police log. A report was taken.

April 27

12:22 a.m.: Police called to Washington and Aaron Streets area for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. A car reportedly drove into the woods, according to the log. State Police were notified, according to the log.

9:40 a.m.: Police responded to Oak Grove apartment area for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. A report was taken.

10:15 a.m.: Police called to the area of Mirabella Cafe on Main Street after fielding several reports of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. 

2:19 p.m.: Police responded to West Wyoming Avenue on a report of a past larceny, according to a police log. A report was taken.

April 28

12:15 p.m.: A Poplar Street resident visited the police station to report harassment from ex-spouse, according to a report. A report was taken.

7:19 p.m.: Police called to a Mount Vernon Street apartment for a report of a past larceny, according to a police log. A report was taken.
