Melrose Woman Arrested on Several Outstanding Warrants

Melrose Woman Arrested on Several Outstanding Warrants

At 10:31 p.m. Jan. 14, Melrose Police responded to Trenton Street for a report of an unwanted guest. Krystal Evans, 21, of 119 Trenton St., Melrose, was arrested on eight outstanding warrants.

Jan. 15

1:26 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lynn Fells Parkway and Perkins Street. A 51-year-old Saugus man was summonsed on charges of speeding in violation of special regulation and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

5:43 a.m.: Lincoln Street at Upham Street, caller complained that a Christmas tree was blocking the road. Police moved the tree off the road.

7:47 a.m.: Highland Avenue at Main Street, report of a single-car crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

8:11 a.m.: Howard Street, report of a house fire. The caller reported seeing smoke coming from an house near 175 Howard St. The fire was at 179 Howard St. Police, along with DPW, handled traffic control with personnel and barricades. See our story on the fire here.

8:33 a.m.: Howard Street, report of a vehicle that slid on black ice and ended up in a front yard.

5:58 p.m.: Main Street, report of an accident.

8:55 p.m.: Walk-in report of a past assault on Pleasant Street.

Jan. 14

7:53 a.m.: Heywood Avenue, caller reported seeing a suspicious person hanging around an house at the end of the street. Geoffrey Aronian, 44, homeless, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

7:33 p.m.: East Emerson Street, caller reported that a carbon monoxide alarm was activated. Fire Department notified and responded.

Jan. 13

9:08 am.: Franklin Street at Main Street, report of an accident. Fire Department notified and responded.

8:56 p.m.: Island Hill Avenue, report of past motor vehicle accident.
