Michigan Man Facing Multiple Felony B&E Charges in Melrose

At 4:30 a.m. Jan. 2, Melrose Police responded to Franklin Street for a report of a man breaking into the caller's vehicle. Christian Cinelli, 18, of 305 West Pine, Grand Rapids, Mich., was arrested and charged with three felony counts of nighttime breaking and entering into a vehicle.

6:07 a.m.: Melrose Shell on Main Street, report of a counterfeit $10 bill used at the gas station.

Jan. 1


10:18 p.m.: Stowecroft Road, report of a possible sewer backup. DPW notified.

Dec. 31

8:43 a.m.: West Emerson Street at Essex Street, report of an accident. Fire Department notified. Two vehicles towed, and no transports. 

1:22 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report fraud on East Foster Street.

3:11 p.m.: Spear Street, report of past house break-in. The incident reportedly happened on Nov. 26, 2013. 

4:01 p.m.: Main Street, Fire Department reported accident that occurred in front of the station.

4:45 p.m.: Franklin Street, report of hypodermic needles found in a bush. The needles were recovered and disposed of properly. 

Dec. 30

6:49 a.m.: Upham Street at Woodcrest Drive, report of an accident. A 35-year-old Saugus man was summonsed on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failing to signal.

10:37 a.m.: Dill's Court, report of an accident. No tows or transports.

1:48 p.m.: Bellevue Avenue at Lynn Fells Parkway, report of an accident. State Police responded. A vehicle was towed from the scene, and one taken to an hospital.

4:40 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report a larceny/fraud that occurred at Cypress Park.

4:53 p.m: A person visited the police station to report a past domestic issue at East Wyoming Avenue. A 26-year-old Somerville man was summonsed on charges of assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250.

5:54 p.m.: Frances Street, report of a domestic disturbance. Claudio Frangini, 48, of 46 Frances St., Apt. B, Melrose, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

8:12 p.m.: Fellsway East, report of possible check forgery.
